VIP Rewards Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are Canningvale Coins?

Canningvale Coins are part of our VIP Rewards Program in which you receive coins each time you make a purchase. You can use these coins to receive free products or store credit to use on your next purchase.

2. How do I earn Coins?

You'll receive 100 coins simply by registering for an account with Canningvale, by doing this. this will automatically sign you up to our VIP rewards program. Then you will earn additional coins each time you purchase, 1 coin for every $1 (exc GST & the cost of shipping). You can also earn additional coins when you like us on Facebook, follow us on Instagram or write a review. You will also receive coins on your birthday if you let us know what date it is. Please note: you’ll need to do all of these things through our website so we have a record of it and can properly award you the coins.

3. How do I sign up to Canningvale Coins?

If you make a purchase with Canningvale using an account, we’ll automatically sign you up to VIP rewards to ensure you don’t miss out on any coins or benefits.

If you have not made a purchase but would like to sign up, head to canningvale.com and click on ‘Join VIP Rewards’. On a desktop computer that will be in the top right hand corner of the screen or on a mobile device you can click on the drop down menu and find it at the top. You’ll then follow the prompts to sign up.

4. How many coins will I get if I make a purchase?

You will receive 1 coin for every $1 spent (exc GST). Once you have 900+ coins you will receive 2 coins for every $1 spent (exc GST). Once you have 1800+ coins you will receive 3 coins for every $1 spent (exc GST). Please note you will not receive any coins for the cost of shipping.

5. How do I use my coins?

Firstly, make sure you are logged into your account. You’ll then need to find and click on the link that says ‘Your Canningvale Coins’. On a desktop computer this will be in the top right hand corner of the screen or on a mobile device it will be at the top of the drop down menu. You’ll then need to click the button that says ‘See your status & redeem coins’. A pop up box will appear with further information about the different ways to use your coins. Note: If you have pop ups blocked on your computer, this box won’t be able to appear.

6. How do I make sure I receive coins for liking Canningvale on Facebook or following Canningvale on Instagram?

Once you have opened the Canningvale Coins pop up box (see Q5) click "Ways to earn". From there you can click "like" next to Facebook and this will open a separate internet page and take you to our Facebook page for you to like - you must have a Facebook account and be logged in at the time. You can do the same for Instagram by clicking ‘Follow’, again you must have an Instagram account and be logged in. The coins will then automatically be applied to your account.

7. How do I make sure I receive coins for writing a review?

You need to be logged into your Canningvale account, head to the product you wish to review, go to the Returns tab underneath and click ‘Write a Review’. You can then go into the rewards pop up box (see Q5) and your amount of CV coins will increase - this is displayed at the very top of the pop up box. Please note, you will only receive coins for 1 review left per week. 

8. Can I redeem my coins for credit?

Yes. Once you have opened the Canningvale Coins pop up box (see Q5) click on ‘All Rewards’. Here you will see options to use your coins for store credit. When you click redeem next to a store credit value, this amount will automatically be applied to your account and automatically deduct from your order total in the checkout.

9. How do I use my coins to get a free product?

In the Canningvale Coins pop up (see Q5) you’ll need to click on ‘All Rewards’. From here you’ll see the different free products available as part of the rewards program. If you have enough coins to receive a free product you’ll be able to click ‘View’ and then ‘Redeem’. This will display a unique coupon code that you will enter at checkout. First you’ll need to find that product on the site and add it to your cart (the easiest way to do this is to copy the name of the product into the search bar). You'll then enter that unique code into the coupon box at checkout and the cost of that product will deduct from your order total.

10. Why do I have to pay shipping on my free product?

At Canningvale all orders less than $150 incur a shipping fee. If you are using your coins to receive a free product then your order total will be $0 and you’ll be charged shipping. To avoid paying this shipping fee on your free product, you can wait to redeem it until you are making a purchase of over $150.

11. I’ve just made a purchase but my coins aren’t showing.

After you’ve made a purchase, the coins will be added to your account once the order has been shipped, so it may take a day or two for them to appear.

12. Will I receive extra coins on my birthday?

Yes. If you enter your birthday in the ‘Account Details’ section of your account, you will receive 50 coins on your birthday each year.

13. I don’t like any of the products I can get with my coins, can I choose a different one?

You can only receive the free products listed in the Canningvale Coins pop up. However you can redeem your coins for store credit which you can put towards any products on the site.

14. Do I receive a discount for being a loyalty member?

Once you have received more than 300 coins, you will receive a coupon code for 5% off sitewide, including sale items. You will see this reward at the top of the Canningvale Coins pop up (see Q7). You can use this coupon code at the checkout to take 5% off your order total. Each time you move up a level in the Canningvale Coins program, you will receive another one of these coupon codes for 5% off sitewide. Please note: Our website only allows for 1 coupon code to be entered at a time, so if you have multiple coupon codes you wish to use, you’ll need to split them into multiple transactions.

15. Do my coins expire?

Yes, your coins will expire after 1 year so don’t wait too long to redeem those rewards. You’ll receive an email approximately 7 days before they expire as a reminder to use them up. However these emails can be missed or end up in spam folders so it’s always best to use the coins sooner rather than later to avoid missing out. 

16. My coins are about to expire but there’s nothing I want to purchase right now.

If your coins are about to expire you can redeem them for store credit (see Q8). Once store credit has been redeemed this will automatically be applied to your account to use on your next purchase.

17. Nothing is coming up when I click redeem coins.

If you have pop ups blocked on your computer it will prevent the Canningvale Coins pop up box from appearing. To do this you’ll need to allow pop ups on your computer.

18. I’ve added the item to my cart but I cannot locate the coupon code I have just redeemed. 

Return to the rewards pop up box (see Q7) at the very top click “Your rewards” This will take you to your rewards that you have redeemed but not used.
