I adore anything vintage and love light, bright and airy spaces; so I follow social media accounts and subscribe to magazines that feature these design elements. I also love playing with different objects, colours and patterns, to see how different combinations can transform my home.

How do you use colour in different rooms?

I start with a light, neutral space, then introduce pops of colour. I especially love using practical objects, such as silk scrunchies, as finishing touches.

I layer different textured cushions, throw blankets, rugs, bright quilt covers, and other accessories to create my coastal boho vibe.

Do you have a favourite room?

Yes! It has to be my kitchen and dining room that we’ve almost finished renovating.

I designed and decorated this space, so it’s exactly the way I want. It’s such a big space now!

Since the kitchen is the centre of your family's day-to-day living and where memories are made, it really is the heart of the home – so I wanted it to be light, bright and full of life.

How do you enhance the mood of a room?

I love using different textures and objects – especially Canningvale products.

I generally stick to a more neutral vibe, but I love using pops of darker colours and mixing them in with patterns to create a rustic finish.

In the living room and bedroom, I love layering cushions and throws, as this creates a dreamy and relaxing space to unwind.

In the kitchen, I love brightly-textured tea towels, such as Canningvale’s Cucina collection. This creates a lively ambience.

In all other spaces, candles are my go to. Fragrances can really ignite your mood and state of mind, which spreads positivity throughout the home. I love Canningvale’s Finger Lime & Coconut candle, as it sets the scene for a tropical paradise, which works seamlessly with my coastal boho home.
