Throughout her career, she has helped shape brand storytelling, product content and marketing strategy for some of Australia’s best-known retailers. Her background spans everything from designing and developing products to analysing emerging trends and creating customer-focused content, giving her a practical understanding of how design, quality and functionality come together in the products people use every day.

Alongside her experience in the fashion and textiles industry, Eli has an extensive editorial background, including writing and editing for various lifestyle publications, and creating content across a wide range of industries. This combination of product knowledge, commercial insight and editorial experience allows her to turn industry information into practical, accessible advice that helps readers make confident choices for their own homes.

At Canningvale, Eli writes about bedding, towels, home style, fabric care and seasonal trends. Her articles are informed not only by her professional experience, but a genuine passion for all things design and creating spaces that feel personal, comfortable and lived-in.

Outside of work, Eli spends her time creating, making and collecting. From art and poetry to home DIY projects, she’s always working on something. She’s also an enthusiastic “treasure hunter”, regularly scouring op shops, markets and Facebook Marketplace for the unique finds that make her house feel like a (weird and wonderful) home.

Her design philosophy is simple: the best spaces aren’t the ones that look like a magazine spread – they’re the ones that reflect the people who live in them.

When she’s not rearranging furniture or hunting for vintage treasures, Eli is usually hanging out with her faithful sidekick Pepsi, a scruffy black schnoodle with very strong opinions about where cushions belong.
