Where did you find inspiration for your home decor?

Nature! Collecting fallen branches and using them as decor pieces brings the outside world in. I style them on complementary vessels to create a sense of calm. I also have a deep love for wabi-sabi, a traditional Japanese aesthetic that embraces transience and imperfections. I have a number of chipped homewares, pottery, and plates that I use daily.

How do you use colour in different rooms?

I love keeping it neutral, but I like injecting green in the kitchen, and a bit of blush or terracotta in the bedroom. Cream has also surged in popularity and is becoming the new white - as it's on-trend and gender neutral, we've used it in the nursery.

Do you have a favourite room?

Yes, and it’s definitely our bedroom! We have two large windows on either side, which keeps the light pouring in all day. It’s an absolute sanctuary for me.

How do you use Canningvale products to enhance the mood of a room?

I use key elements when styling different rooms.

Living Room: I like to start with cushions of varying sizes and natural fibers. I then drape throws to soften the look and provide extra warmth.

Don’t forget candles! They are the easiest way to create a sensory mood.

Bedroom: Layers are key. I have wool underlay during winter for that extra toasty sensation (an absolute life saver). Mattress, pillow and quilt protectors are also a must have.

Bathroom: Luxurious towels are an absolute must. Soft, plush, super absorbent towels, as well as waffle bathrobes, make you feel like you’re on a holiday somewhere fabulous. Also a candle in the bathroom adds a spa-esque feel to your usual bathtime ritual.
